What is One21?

One21 is a movement of people who are committed to telling the story of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We stand on two powerful pillars. The first, and certainly most important, pillar is our commitment to accurately speaking the truth of scripture. We are convinced that the message of God is found in His Word and that His word is flawless and without error. That leads us to commit ourselves to its proclamation. Beyond that, however, we recognize that our method of delivery must remain fluid. While the message of the Gospel is true in every age and culture, the method in which that message is delivered will change based on our time, location and circumstance. Just as it would be innefective for us to travel to West Africa and attempt to share the message of Christ in American English, it is equally challenging to assume that we can share the message in a manner that is comfortable to us without giving thought to the way in which our host culture receives information. We believe that we must be careful to speak the language of our host culture and deliver the message in appropriate ways.

So, One21 stands for First Century Mission (One) delivered using Twenty-First Century Methods (21). We hope you’ll join us on this journey!
